The indexer cam is the main transmission component, which belongs to a kind of cylindrical cam. Here, the cylindrical cam is a member which has a curved groove on the cylindrical surface or a curved contour on the cylindrical end face, so the indexer cam It can be regarded as a special-shaped component that is transformed from a cylinder according to a special curve and converted by CNC machining.
indexing drives
The indexer is called a cylindrical cam because it is cylindrical in shape, the indexer cam has curved contours or grooves, and the curves of these contours and grooves belong to a spatial curve. In the indexer, the output turret acts as a follower or line contact between the follower and the input cam of the indexer, that is to say the needle bearing on the output turret (also called the cam roller) and the rib profile on the outside of the cam Keeping in contact, intermittent or rocking motion can be realized. Because the cam is in contact with the bearing in the split drive, the cam surface is easy to wear. Therefore, the materials used in the indexer cam have special requirements, and the cam material is Through the high temperature carburizing technology to strengthen the hardness of the cam.
The motion curve of the indexer cam includes three types, deformed table curve (MT), modified sinusoid (MS), and deformation velocity curve (MCV50):
The deformation table shape curve is mainly applied to the multi-station transmission of high speed and light load. It can be seen from the shape of the curve that in the case of high speed operation of the cam, since the force is suddenly received from the movement to the rest, the divider itself must It can withstand the impact of speed under load. The speed from high to low buffer is shorter, and if the load is heavy, the indexer will be damaged.
The shape of the sinusoidal curve is smoother and less steep than the deformed table curve. This type of curve is suitable for the processing standard of most indexer cams. It is also the mainstream of the common indexer cam production on the market. During the cam rotation process, the speed is High to low reaches a reasonable cycle. On the one hand, it does not have a large impact on the cam mechanism. On the other hand, this conventional design is more in line with the needs of most multi-station transmission speeds.
The shape of the deformation velocity curve is suitable for the heavy-duty transmission system. The buffer period of the dynamic stop is longer, the indexer changes from high speed to low speed, and after reaching a certain speed, the shape of the constant speed is maintained, and the impact is reduced. Force, the overall speed is slow, so it is suitable for high-load automatic transmission systems.
